Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Farmdash, the internal analytics platform operated by The Media Farm (Pty) Ltd. By logging in to Farmdash, you agree to these terms.

Farmdash is a private, internal tool. Access is limited to employees and contractors of The Media Farm who have been granted an account by a system administrator.

1. THE SERVICE

Farmdash is a proprietary web application developed and operated by The Media Farm (Pty) Ltd (“The Media Farm”, “we”, “us”). It provides authorised staff with access to aggregated client analytics data drawn from connected social media and advertising platforms, for the purpose of internal reporting and client performance monitoring.

2. ACCESS AND ELIGIBILITY

Access to Farmdash is granted solely at the discretion of The Media Farm. To use the platform you must:
– Be a current employee or authorised contractor of The Media Farm
– Have been granted a login account by a system administrator
– Agree to and comply with these Terms of Service

Access may be revoked at any time without notice, for any reason including but not limited to termination of employment, breach of these terms, or business need.

3. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES

– You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your password with anyone.
– You must notify a system administrator immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
– You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account.
– You must not attempt to access accounts, data, or system areas beyond your authorised permission level.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may use Farmdash only for legitimate business purposes in connection with your role at The Media Farm. You must not:
– Use the platform to access, export, or distribute client data for any purpose outside of your authorised work responsibilities
– Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform in bulk
– Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s infrastructure or security
– Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, including POPIA
– Share access credentials or grant others access to your account
– Use client data for personal benefit, outside advertising, or any purpose not related to The Media Farm’s service delivery to that client

5. CLIENT DATA OWNERSHIP

All analytics data pulled from client accounts belongs to the respective client. The Media Farm processes this data on behalf of clients as part of our service delivery. Staff must treat all client data as confidential and proprietary to the client. Data must not be disclosed to third parties, used beyond the scope of the client engagement, or retained after the client relationship ends.

6. CONFIDENTIALITY

By using Farmdash you acknowledge that you may have access to confidential information including client data, business strategies, financial performance metrics, and internal tooling. You agree to keep all such information confidential during and after your employment or engagement with The Media Farm, in accordance with any applicable confidentiality agreement you have signed.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Farmdash, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of The Media Farm (Pty) Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the platform. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of Farmdash without prior written consent.

8. PLATFORM INTEGRATIONS AND THIRD-PARTY TERMS

Farmdash connects to third-party platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, etc.) via their respective APIs. Your use of data sourced from these platforms is also subject to those platforms’ terms of service and developer policies. You agree not to use data from these integrations in any way that would violate those terms.

9. DISCLAIMERS

Farmdash is provided “as is” and “as available”. The Media Farm makes no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data displayed will always be complete or accurate. Analytics data is dependent on third-party APIs and may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable due to factors outside our control.

Nothing in Farmdash constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable South African law, The Media Farm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Farmdash.

11. TERMINATION

These terms remain in effect for as long as you have an active Farmdash account. They terminate automatically when your access is revoked. Sections relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, and limitation of liability survive termination.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Farmdash after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated to staff via email.
